ASICS Skateboarding is coming to the European market.
Past and present come together in the new ASICS Skateboarding shoe range, now available in the EU. The collection builds on decades of tradition in designing footwear that empowers people to move their bodies and minds. Each skate shoe draws from a chapter of ASICS’ sporting history, combining authentic designs from the archives with modern technology for comfort, support and durability.
How does ASICS design skateboarding shoes?
Skate shoes are the result of studies at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science, which analysed the precise movements of skateboarders on different surfaces and obstacles. The insights they uncover are incorporated into the shoes that Asics manufactures, which include a complete unisex range.
What are the differences between ASICS skateboarding shoes?
With a range of influences and features, it’s easy to find the best shoes for your style at ASICS. The JAPAN PRO features a classic low-cut silhouette that is inspired by the FABRE JAPAN S basketball shoe from 1981. An elastic waistband and thicker tongue help provide a comfortable and supportive feel. The Gel-Vickka shoe takes inspiration from the original VICKKA sports model from the 1970s and features GEL technology strategically placed in the heel for shock absorption.
