A Dunk Low OG model from the special quickstrike collection, referencing an event in skate mythology. In 2003, only two original pairs were made, one pair was cut into pieces and the remaining pair was auctioned off to the highest bidder at a charity event.
For years, the identity of the auction winner remained a mystery. In the end, it turned out that the buyer was none other than pioneer Sandy Bodecker, a man with a huge influence on skateboarding, the Nike brand, and the person who put the SB in the Nike SB name.
This new version pays homage to the original Dunks from the 2003 auction, their destruction, and Sandy. The upper is made of leather with transparent windows that mimic their cross-section, and the lightweight cupsole has Zoom Air cushioning. The Nike swoosh and lettering are on the tongue and heel. SB with the inscription nikesbforever.
The insole is adorned with images of Sandy and his essential contribution to the Nike SB legacy and stories.
