The iconic Half Cab shoe model from Vans celebrates its incredible 30th anniversary this year.
Skater Steve Caballero is simply a legend and the face of Vans since 1988. A year later, he designed his first ankle-high shoe model, The Caballero High Top, but in the 90s, skateboarding began to move away from vert to street skateboarding, which is more technical, and skaters began to shorten their ankle version by cutting off the ankle hem.
Naturally, a shorter version of the Vans Half Cab shoe was launched in 1992 and has been with us for an incredible 30 years.
