A collaboration between Nike SB, fantastic skater Daniel Kim and his brand Stingwater has created a unique limited edition Dunk model in a low-top design nicknamed the Magic Mushroom.
Stingwater was founded in 2016 in New York by skater Daniel Kim. From the beginning, it relied on simple graphics and unconventional presentation to stand out from the crowd and differentiate itself from others. It is most influenced and inspired by nature, but especially mushrooms. and their mythical properties. Hence the characteristic name Magic Mushroom.
The bright red leather on the upper with white spots refers to the mushrooms - Toadstools - and their hats. The padding on the ankle and the inner sole symbolize the flakes on the bottom of the bun. There is a patch with a picture of a toadstools on the inside of the tongue and there is also a zippered pocket where you can hide some small item. The heel features an embroidered inverted Nike logo, which references the legendary Futura logo. The sides feature a 3D swoosh resembling a jewel, complete with the Stingwater inscription in scattered letters. The tongue top is made of shiny material and has a brown Stingwater Shoe, Very Special label. The green insoles in the shoe with the inscription: "Don't step on me, I'm trying to grow" refer to the grass or moss in which you can find mushrooms in the forest.
The emphasis on functionality was not left behind either. Zoom Air technology in the heel, a padded tongue with sewn-in gussets ensure a comfortable fit for both leisure and all-day skateboarding.
