Vans shoes in a special collaboration with the skate organization Skateistan , which supports skateboarding and the skate community in developing countries.

Skateistan is an international non-profit organization founded in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2007 by Australian Oliver Percovich, that uses skateboarding and education to empower children in society. Thousands of children aged 5-17 attend Skateistan programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Jordan, Bolivia, Kenya, and South Africa. Half of their students are girls.

Vans announced that it will donate $200,000 to Skateistan to support their great work and continue to grow, bringing the joy of skateboarding to the kids who need it most, and is also releasing a shoe and apparel collection to empower them.
